Always
wanted to do some acting on stage but weren’t sure that you could pull it off,
either because there’s not enough time to rehearse for a full three-act play,
not sure that you can remember all the lines, too tall, too short, can’t sing,
can’t dance, then this is for you.
Westville
Theatre Club is resurrecting their One Act Play festival in KZN in 2018. To set
the scene and whet theatre lovers’ appetites, they will be putting on a
mini-festival in April 2017 consisting of three plays, written by Hennie
Greyvenstein.
As
each act is only between 25 and 35 minutes long and usually does not require
singing or dancing, the one act plays are essentially for all experienced and
inexperienced actors and actresses, understudies, as well as backstage,
lighting and sound operators and your chance to direct, or co-direct.
Auditions
for the plays take place on February 19 at 14h00, February 20 at 19h00 and
February 23 at 19h00 at the Westville Theatre Club in St James Avenue,
Westville (next to the swimming pool)
Performance
nights are April 20 to 22 and April 27 to 29.
