ADMINISTRATOR POST FOR GAUTENG OPERA



Deadline: March 10, 2017

A full-time post is available for an Administrator with Gauteng Opera. The Administrator must be available to commence on April 3.

Gauteng Opera is looking for a full time Administrator responsible for the following, but not limited to:

-Oversee the ad hoc chorus administration;
-Liaise with soloists, creative and production teams during big productions;
-Support logistical arrangements for Gauteng Opera;
-Support fundraising efforts;
-Prepare documents for meetings and circulate in advance of meetings;
-Take minutes at various meetings and prepare minutes thereof;
-Liaise with service providers as necessary;
-Manage and maintain the CEO’s diary;
-Support CEO and COO with Administrative duties, when required;
-The position needs a person with the following to be successful:
-Excellent communication skills;
-Excellent interpersonal relationship skills;
-Ability and willingness to learn;
-Adaptability and flexibility;
-Ability to work in fast-paced environment;
-Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team.

The following would be advantages:
-Experience in Office Administration;
-Office and/or Arts Administration Diploma or Degree;
-Experience in organising large meetings;
-Experience in arranging travel and accommodation;
-Previous work experience in an NGO / NPO environment especially the arts and culture sector.
