Blankets for Nelson Mandela programme, Carolyn Steyn, has sent out a call to
all supporters to gather at Madiba statues and parks and gardens.
KZN representative Sue Eslick puts forward
this invitation: “We would love for you to show your support by coming to
Botanical Gardens in Durban on Sunday April 23 (tomorrow) from 11h00 to 15h00.
“Bring with a blanket or chair and picnic
to share. Some wool to donate or blankets and squares you have made. You can
bring some knitting or crochet you busy with or come and make squares to add to
the Massive Madiba Record for next year. Please bring hooks or needles with
you.”
The Knitwits – as they are affectionately
known – will gather near the bottom of the Durban Botanical Gardens near the
lake, there is parking at the bottom with an entrance there. Look out for the
push up banner. All are welcome.
