(David “Qadasi” Jenkins & Maqhinga Radebe)

The next programme in the Mondays at Six at St Clements programme takes place on April 24 and will feature QADASI & Maqhinga

Hailing from Empangeni in the heart of Zululand, David “Qadasi” Jenkins and Maqhinga Radebe are an acoustic duo on a quest to revive the powerful sounds of traditional Maskandi music. Both SAMA and SATMA Award nominees in their own right, the duo have taken their fusion of traditional Zulu and western folk music to audiences in the UK, Ireland, Asia and throughout South Africa, and recently released their long awaited collaborative album titled, Lashis’ Ilanga.

St Clements is situated at 191 Musgrave Road. Mondays @ Six run between 18h00 and 19h00. Table bookings are essential on 031 202 2511. There is no cover charge but there is a donations box to support presenters.
