John Foreman is the founder and principal of MusicMonde.

MusicMonde makes it easy to find your perfect teacher for online music lessons. Playing a musical instrument or singing adds an exciting new dimension to your mind. With modern technology, a music teacher in any place can communicate with a pupil anywhere else to help them explore this world of music. This can be done by email, FaceTime, Skype or by telephone.

artSMart is extremely proud to announce that MusicMonde is sponsoring the artSMart Events List which gets updated every week.

The MusicMonde app for iPhone, iPad and Android is the first part of the new MusicMonde school, founded to provide first-rate music education worldwide in a modern, convenient and affordable way.

Download the free app or explore the directory of online music teachers to see if they have the match for you! Once you've found the right teacher just tap the button to contact them via MusicMonde. A free conversation with the teacher can be arranged via telephone, video call or email consultation.

Whether you want to start something new, continue learning your instrument, or get help with music theory or arranging, MusicMonde can help you.

On a recent visit to Durban, John Foreman went to have a look at the organ in the City Hall.

“This very fine, large organ was installed in the Durban City Hall over 100 years ago. It has not been played for over 15 years and has remained under the stage. In February 2017, I was very privileged to have the console wheeled out and uncovered for me to have a look at. It could not be played as it had been disconnected from the electricity. It is hoped the organ will be restored to its former glory,” he says.

Foreman has studied music for most of his life. For a long time, he has wanted to pass on some of the musical knowledge he has acquired along the way and help other teachers to do the same. He hopes that MusicMonde will connect music students around the world with their perfect teacher and so help them reach their full musical potential.

Foreman started playing piano aged eight and studied to Grade 8. For over 30 years now he has concentrated on playing classical organ and now plays for several local churches in the UK. He passed Grade 8 Organ in 1999 and for the past five years has been studying for a diploma with the Royal College of Organists. Foreman will be pleased to teach organ at all levels up to Grade 8 standard. (Price lesson / Per 30mins: $35) Language: English.

Easy Ear Training is proud to partner with John Foreman in bringing MusicMonde to life. Easy Ear Training is a music education technology company founded in 2009 to develop innovative new ways for musicians to improve their musical ears. They offer a range of iOS apps and a range of eBooks and online courses, including a free beginners’ ear training course.

Once contact is made through the app or website, the responsibility for arranging lessons lies solely with student and prospective teacher. No guarantees are made about the teachers featured in MusicMonde, nor the lessons which may be arranged with them.

Teachers featured in the MusicMonde app provide lessons to students over the age of 18 only.
