SYMPHONY IN THE SUBURBS: KZNPO IN KLOOF

Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival, in association with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, will host an evening of classical music at St Agnes Church in Kloof, on August 17.

Conducted by Daniel Balshaw, the orchestra will bring their full complement to this intimate setting to play works by Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn.

Joanna Frankel, previously Concert Master of the KZN Philharmonic and recently appointed as Concert Master of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Ohio, United States of America, will play the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.

Duigan, regarded as one of South Africa's foremost concert pianists, is the soloist in the piano concerto.
