(Cat Simoni)
Sensational French pop star Françoise Hardy rocketed to fame
in the mid-60’s with her intimate voice and sexy singing style – and her
guitar, of course!
She matched English pop idol Petula Clark with her mega
record sales and her French-accented “pillow-talk” vocals and sultry beauty
melted male – and female! – hearts across the country from Franschhoek to
Ficksburg, Potch to Paternoster, Germiston to Jeffreys Bay!
After her acclaimed Elton John and Barbra Streisand
tributes, Westville/London five-star girl Cat Simoni returns to the Rhumbelow Theatre
in Durban with a fun and appealing story of the one-and-only Mlle. Hardy,
French pop legend:
Titled Françoise
Hardy, ooh la-la!, it follows a time when young Sorbonne student,
Françoise, walks into a Left Bank café with her guitar on a rainy night in
Paris in the early 1960’s… a sensational new singing star is born.
With all the much-loved Françoise hits like Find Me a Boy, All Over the World, Catch a
Falling Star, This Little Heart, Only You Can Do It, In Another Place, The Way
of Love and a few surprises, too, like the sexy Je t’aime and Jaques Brel’s Madelaine,
Carousel, Marieke Marieke, Amsterdam and If We Only Have Love; this is a blast from the past to excite,
enthrall and entertain every 60’s pop music fan.
