KwaZulu-Natal 67 Blankets for Nelson
Mandela members got together and decided to make a Special Secret Blanket - suggested
by Colleen Biddlecombe.
“For months we have collected squares from
a number of people depicting what KwaZulu-Natal Zulu Natal means to them,” says
67 Blankets Ambassador, Sue Eslick.
“We wanted to make an impact with our
Blanket so we looked for a means of delivery and the choir, Ababafana Base
Kingswood, kindly offered to assist us. We were absolutely delighted with their
performance and could see the impact it made by the number of people taking
videos as it went round the Exhibition Centre.
“A huge Thank You to all who have been part
of this. We will continue to collect wool squares and blankets to distribute to
the needy in the Province.
