(Samantha Peo)

Join two award winning artists Samantha Peo and Evan Roberts, as they take audiences on an intimate, musical journey reflecting on life and love.

Rhumbelow Theatre Durban presents Soulfire and Fireflies this coming weekend from October 20 to 22.

Using well known songs (with fresh arrangements), poetry and personal stories, they detail the journey from the end of an important relationship, through the stages of loss, highlighting all the ups and downs, funny and poignant moments in between, towards self-acceptance and love. It is performed as a personal account but tells a very human story.

There comes a point in everyone’s lives when they finally ‘get it’! And it’s often the result of a catastrophic event, but there’s that place within you, when in the midst of all your fears and insanity you stop dead in your tracks and you hear that quiet voice inside yourself, that cries out – ‘ENOUGH! Enough fighting, crying and struggling to just hold on.’ And you discover that if any change is to happen it has to begin with you.

It is a ‘feel good’ story and tells the story of personal triumph.

After all, what is life without promise, hopes and dreams, challenges, triumphs, mystery and drama?

And of course….a whole lot of love!

To a life well lived….. Fill your ‘Being’ and light the fire in your soul.
Performances take place on October 20 and 21 at 20h00 and October 22 at 14h00 and 18h30. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.
