This week is National Human Trafficking
Awareness Week which adds focus to the production Trafficked which forms part of the Playhouse Company’s KZN Arts
Showcase. Performances take place at the Playhouse on October 6 at 15h30 and
October 7 at 15h00.
Trafficked tells the story of a young girl who is tricked into a fake job
opportunity and sold into slavery. The
performance uses dynamic ways of storytelling including movement pieces, film
and audience participation.
This production is a hard hitting,
confrontational look at the realities of this injustice and includes some shocking
statistics about this ever-growing worldwide empire of abuse.
