Sibaya debuts international tribute to Tina Turner

Yet another internationally acclaimed tribute show will set the Sibaya stage a sizzle during the 2017 festive season. From makers of The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show, the Michael Jackson HIStory Show and Queen: It’s A Kinda Magic comes a brand new live show that will have audiences dancing in their chairs.

Durban’s Sibaya Casino will debut Tina: Simply The Best, featuring well-known cast members from previous Showtime Australia hit shows. This exciting new production will run from December 15, 2017, to January 7, 2018.

Within the span of two-hours, audience members will experience flashing lights, dazzling dancers, nostalgia beyond words and a world-class backing live band that will perform over 15 of Turner’s most popular tracks. The songstress’s greatest hits such as What’s Love Got to Do with It, River Deep – Mountain High, Proud Mary, (Simply) The Best, Nutbush City Limits and more will be included in the show.

Taking on the persona of the Queen of Rock will be South African-born Caroline Borole. The professional entertainer will be centrestage conquering Turner’s outrageously famous twirling dance moves as well as tackling her trademark growls, grunts and raspy vocals.

“Tina is not like a lot of other performers out there … She really puts on a show when she's on stage, so when one tries to emulate her, you have to make sure you study her down to the tee,” says Borole, a successful singer and actress within South Africa’s entertainment industry.

Tina: Simply The Best will run at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya from December 15, 2017, to January 7, 2018. Tickets are on sale now via Computicket.
