Two of the greatest compositions, Bach's
Brandenburg Concerto no 1 and Handel's Water
Music will be performed by Baroque 2000 at the first concert of their
exciting 2018 Season on March 11. The two main works, scored for strings,
woodwinds and brass, are complemented by the Sinfonia a 3 in C - Turcaria, by
JJ Fux.
The concert starts at 11h30 on March 11 at
the Church of the Monastery Mariannhill.
Tickets R150 at the door, and subscriptions
can now be purchased, giving reserved seats for the eight concert series at R1,200.
The monastery tea garden will be open, and there is ample free and secure
parking.
