Macheva & Refiloe Olifant)
Double concertos by the great composers Bach and Telemann
feature in Baroque 2000's April 8 concert at the Church of the Monastery, Mariannhill.
The soloists are Ralitza Macheva and Refiloe Olifant (violins),
who will perform the Telemann, and Margrit Deppe (oboe) who will take centre
stage with Macheva for the Bach. She is also the soloist in Albinoni's oboe concerto
in D minor. The other works are Alessandro Scarlatti's concerto grosso in F,
and the trio sonata no 5 by Nicola Porpora, among whose composition pupils was
an admiring Joseph Haydn.

concert starts at 15h00.
Tickets R150 at the door; parking is free and secure. The monastery
tea garden will be open with specials for concert goers.
