The KZNSA Gallery is coming up on May 3, 2018, and the gallery promises the best in local
art and culture.
This month the KZNSA will host Durban artist, Portia. Known for her
soulful and energetic performances with Durban-based four-piece Nje, she is
writing new material and recording for an up and coming solo project. The
recent works are internal displays of her perception of the world around her as
a black female.
Expressed through personal mantras and melodic poetry over rare grooves,
Portia will be showcasing a stripped version of these works with Chillie on
guitar.
The two new exhibitions will open from 17h30 in the main and mezzanine
galleries. The Tolerance Traveling Poster
Show and Fashion Revolution both
promise to be bursts of energy, colour and a true authentic experience in the
gallery space.
First Thursday at KZNSA takes place on May 3 from 17h00 for live music,
two exhibition openings, local shopping and a very special gourmet burger and
hand-made pasta menu!
