Elizabeth Gordon Gallery has new works by Hussein Salim.
Salim and his family left the Sudan as refugees and lived in various
European countries before being offered a scholarship to study for his Masters
Degree at the University of Pietermaritzburg, which he completed in 2007. Since
then the family has settled in Pietermaritzburg, where Hussein works as a
full-time artist and does part-time lecturing at the University.
During the years, he has gained enormously in popularity and is a much
sought-after artist at Elizabeth Gordon Gallery where has had a few solo
exhibitions, and also participated in their group shows.
