The Playhouse Company, an agency of the
Department of Arts and Culture, presents the 22nd South African Women’s Art
Festival Fringe featuring Live Music, Comedy, Dialogue & Poetry. This event
takes place in The Playhouse Cellar on August 17, 2018.

Talking Woman to Woman
The Cellar, August 17 from 10h00 to 13h00
The panel will be of Durban’s most
Influential women from the entertainment industry, who will share their
personal journey, highlighting challenges with the intention to motivate women.
Other topics will include issue of slay queens, blessers, gender based
discrimination, violence and femicide from the perspective of women.

Talking Man to Man
The Cellar, August 17 from 13h00-15h30
The panel will be made up of influential
and highly celebrated male industry representatives within different sectors
and genres. The panellists will each share personal stories that reflects their
journey to success, highlighting the challenges they’ve encountered in the
pursuit of their dreams. Other topics will include slay queens, blessers,
gender based discrimination, violence and substance abuse within the
entertainment industry.

Also featuring on this year’s Fringe are
live music performances by Durban’s most talented, industry ready live
performers and three emerging Hip-Hop artists. Scheduled to perform are
Nomkhosi Mazibuko, Mazwi Fortune, Next Level, My Lord, KYLE, and Amor, with
poetry from Sthandiwe KaBlose, Mollo Da Poet and Hlngiwe Mbatha and a special
comedy sessions by Nonto R and Simphiwe Shembe.
