Rhumbelow Theatre Durban will present Rock n 'Roll Nerds this weekend
(September 7 to 9, 2018)
Who would want to be a pianist? Everybody
knows the front man is, more often than not, the good-looking and charismatic
guy who always gets the girl. While celebrating the nerds behind the keys Rock n 'Roll Nerds pay tribute to a
variety of pianists including Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elton John, Stevie
Wonder, Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, Alicia Keys and John Legend.
Treat yourself to a line-up of Durban’s
finest nerds including sensational Kirsty Van Der Linde on saxophone, Andy
Turrell on bass guitar, Dylan Van Der Linde on drums, David Knott on lead
guitar, on piano and Musical Director Evan Cullum and MC/Vocalists Nicky Knott
and Ofentse Mokhuane.
Celebrating the nerds behind the keys the
show pays tribute to a variety of pianists, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Bruce
Hornsby and John Legend to name a few.
Rock
n 'Roll Nerds has performances on September 7 and 8
at 20h00 and on September 9 at 14h00. The venue opens 90 minutes before show
for picnic dinner.
Tickets R150 (R130 pensioners and tables of
eight or more). Take along food picnic baskets. Braais will be available. There
is limited secure parking and booking is essential. A cash bar is available (no
alcohol may be brought on to the premises).
