The Green Gallery’s 10th Anniversary exhibition, 10 Years On 10 Artists! features 10 artists who have been supportive of The Green Gallery
and whose art work adorns many homes in KZN, South Africa and overseas.
Together the Green Gallery owners have years of experience in the
business of selling art, bronzes and framing.
Michelle Dodds and Sarah Lawrence have always been in the gallery
industry having previously been partners in their own galleries. Dodds was a
partner in The Crouse Gallery on the Berea before it closed and Lawrence in a
Gallery in Harare Zimbabwe before she moved to Durban.
Maureen Dixon was situated in Johannesburg where she was involved with
the Watercolour Society of SA, The Ivy Gallery and ran the ‘Black Like Us “
initiative with Herman Mashaba owner of ‘Black Like Me" who sponsored this
annual event for 10 years.

During the years between them, they were able to give each artist a
platform - encouraging and teaching many artists in art business, featuring
their work in galleries and removing their work from street corners. The
threesome have incorporated their intellectual capital, formed The Green
Gallery and have uplifted a number of artists over the last ten years.
The Green Gallery has been situated in Flanders Mall Mount Edgecombe for
10 years this month. The gallery would like to thank the artists and customers
for their ongoing support.
Artists featured on the exhibition are Andy Anderson; Coral Spencer; Judy
Wentzel; Julie Mayo; Justin Mashora; Lieze Meyer; Nicole Pletts; Shirley
Brandon; Sue Whitmore and Allen Kupeta.
The exhibition runs from October 10 to 17, 2018. The opening takes place
at 18h00 on October 10.
