A highly entertaining supper theatre
evening of song, music and dance well worth the ticket price with all proceeds
going to charity. (Review by Caroline Smart)
Vogue
Entertainment is currently presenting Soundtrack,
which offers a highly entertaining supper theatre evening
of song, music and dance well worth the ticket price, with all proceeds going to
charity. The show runs at Westville Boys High School for the next few days.
Vogue
Entertainment is once again partnering with The Robin Hood Foundation. All
profits from Soundtrack will go
towards the 2018 Buy-A-Brick campaign for the upliftment of the Lalelani

Directed
by Kirsten McGregor and Nicole Mills, the production is headed by the talented
and seemingly inexhaustible Andrew Mills who is supported by an all-female cast
including Charlene McGregor, Clair McPhail, Jacquelyn Benjamin, Kirsten
McGregor, Lauren Rendilheiro, Mandy Johnson, Nicole Mills and Nicole Petzer.
Well-known WBH theatre director Luke Holder, who has been associated with this
theatre company for the past 12 years, reminds us that he is also a proficient
singer and keyboard player.
Hats off
to the full company for handling the challenges presented by a wide range of
styles and genres. The programme offers one audience favourite after another,
from The Greatest Show and Daniel to Footloose, I Got You Babe and You
Can Leave Your Hat On. There’s also a variety of medleys – Disney, Phantom, ABBA, Chicago and James Bond.
Choreography
is by Andrew Mills, Jacquelyn Benjamin, Kirsten McGregor, Lauren Rendilheiro
and Nicole Mills and there is a wide range of attractive costumes. Andrew Mills
apparently has something like 36 costume changes!
The Roy
Couzens Theatre is an excellent well-equipped venue. Using the wide stage to
the full, the show is played out to sparkling backcloths with excellent
lighting.
