Tamasa Gallery is hosting an exhibition by KwaZulu-Natal artist Isabelle
Leclezio until November 21, 2018.
Titled Chasing the Light, her solo
exhibition is inspired by the beautiful landscape and lush vegetation of the
North Coast where she lives, as well her many trips to the Berg.
The artist says: “Nature has a calming effect on me and it gives me
great joy. Right through the years it has taken me through a journey and it has
been a vehicle for my expression. With the use of light, colour, line and form,
I try to create an extension of the world around me. A moment in time, away
from everything.”
The exhibition consists of works (some in impressive large scale) in oil,
pastel, gouache and charcoal drawings.
