Local artist Keith Erasmus is a photographer, graphic artist and poet,
born in the Eastern Cape and educated at Grey and Rhodes University. He has
travelled widely both in Africa and beyond and has held one-man exhibitions in
Great Britain and Germany. He presently concentrates on graphic art and
continues to write.
An autobiographical book of visual art and poetry is
presently in the pipeline and should be published in 2019.
His drawings comprise an amalgam of mixed media techniques, using
various inks, pearlette drops, oil pastel and charcoal. The work reflects
mythological, naturalistic and contemporary themes, and are imbued with a
whimsical and magical quality.
