February 2019 gets off to a rocking start
with a one night only show by platinum selling singer songwriter, Arno Carstens
at the Rockwood Theatre at Sibaya on February 1.
Fans can look forward to a spectacular show
featuring hits from his career as front man of The Springbok Nude Girls, many
of the beloved and most celebrated songs from his career as a platinum selling,
award-winning English solo artist and some popular cover tracks. Arno performs
a bilingual set, and will include tracks from his brand new Afrikaans album Die Aandblom 13.
Carstens needs little introduction as the
front man for cult rock band Springbok Nude Girls. He has also released
multiple albums as a solo artist, with a string of successful singles and
awards including Best Rock Album, Best Alternative Album and Song of the Year.
During his illustrious career, he has
toured with INXS, U2 and the Rolling Stones and performed internationally at
Glastonbury, Hard Rock Calling and VFestival. He’s been called “The godfather
of South African Rock” by Mail & Guardian and Sunday Times has hailed him
as “One of the most prolific songwriters and performers of our time”.
