Lady Skollie is the artistic pseudonym of Laura Windvogel born in 1987 in Cape Town and currently living and working in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In her work Skollie defies taboos in order to talk openly about issues of sex, pleasure, consent, human connection, violence, and abuse. Using ink, watercolour and crayon her work is simultaneously bold and vulnerable, expressing the joy and darkness of the erotic and the duality of human experience.

The artist’s work has been exhibited widely across South Africa, and recent international solo exhibitions include Lust Politics, Tyburn Gallery, London, UK (2017), Fire with Fire, solo project at FNB Joburg Art Fair, Johannesburg, South Africa (2017), and Mating Dance, solo project at AKAA Art Fair, Paris, France (2017).
