MONDAYS ARE MAGIC ON M-NET THIS JANUARY

(The cast of “This is Us”)

M-Net channel 101 will be welcoming viewers into the new year with an exciting slate of brand new and returning seasons of their favourite series: The doctors of Grey-Sloan, the ever-evolving Pearsons and the yet to be solved mystery of Manifest are sure to chase those January blues away.

Shonda Rhimes’ acclaimed series Grey’s Anatomy returns for another season of medical drama on M-Net channel 101, with two back-to-back episodes from January 14 at 19h00. Now in its 15th season, Grey’s Anatomy continues to follow Meredith Grey and the team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial who are faced with life-or-death decisions on a daily basis. These docs spend most of their lives at the hospital and have over the years formed an amazing familial bond. They seek comfort from one another, and at times, more than just friendship.

(“Grey's Anatomy”: Dr Tom Koracick & Dr Meredith Grey)

Rewind back to the end of season 14, where Jo and Alex’s big day was anything but smooth sailing, though fans of the show will know that there hasn’t been a single wedding on Grey’s that went off without a few hiccups. Also marking the end of an era was the sad farewell of some favourite characters: bubbly Arizona Robbins (played by Jessica Capshaw) and beloved April Kepner (Sarah Drew) bid farewell to their family of on-screen doctors in the season finale.

In the season 15 double episode premiere, a distracted Meredith struggles to stay focused at work, as new doctors continue to shake up the hospital in typical Grey Sloan manner, and the surgeons all vie for a coveted new position at the hospital.

The grounded, life-affirming, Golden Globe-winning dramedy This is Us returns for its third season on M-Net 101 from January 14 at 21h00. This beautiful drama has a knack for revealing how the tiniest events in the lives of the Pearson family can have an impact on who they’ve become as adults. In true This is Us style, it also carefully unpacks the connections they’ve shared with one another and explores how those bonds have transcended over time, distance and even death. In the season two finale, Toby and Kate exchanged vows, surrounded by love and joy from their respective families – though getting to the altar proved to be quite the mission for both of them. And just when Randall and Beth thought things were going to get better with their foster daughter Déjà, the struggling teen had a breakdown following the departure of her biological mother.

In the season 3 premiere, big changes are afoot for Kate, Kevin and Randall as they celebrate their 38th birthday.

(“Manifest”)

The crew from Manifest season 1 are back from their production break on January 21 at 20h00. Prior to its break, the intriguing mystery saw Ben and Michaela put everything on the line to save the other missing passengers from flight 828, with the mission going horribly wrong and not everyone making it out alive. Grace also confronted Ben about their relationship, admitting that things weren’t working for her following his return, while Michaela and Jared appear to be getting closer together.

The series returns with episode 10 and the quest solve this mystery continues on M-Net this January.

With the back-to-back premiere episodes of Grey’s Anatomy (Monday January 14 at 19h00), the warm and fuzzy drama of the Pearsons on This is Us (Monday January 14 at 21h00) and the addictive mystery that is Manifest (January 21 at 20h00), the TV and couch are sure to be fully booked this January, and M-Net 101 is happy to have you there!
