The public is invited to an artist talk by Greer Valley at the Durban
University of Technology on May 29, 2019.
Greer Valley is a PhD candidate in Art Historical Studies at Michaelis
School of Fine Art and a fellow at the Archive and Public Culture Initiative at
the University of Cape Town (UCT). Her current research and practice interests
include curatorial interventions in institutions and exhibition spaces focused
on colonial histories.
In 2018, she was a curatorial fellow at the Institute for Creative Arts
(ICA) also at the University of Cape Town. She is currently a director on the
board of the Africa South Arts Initiative (ASAI). Greer has experience in the
Visual Art, Architecture and Design industries in South Africa, the Netherlands
and the UK and holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and master’s degree in
Visual Art.
The AFH Artist Talk series is free and open to the public. All public
events are family and kid friendly.
