at Liberty Midlands Mall this Saturday, August 3, the third week, where bands
and artists vie for the title of the mall’s epic Battle Of The Bands. The event
features the province’s exciting new musical talents who take to the stage to
compete for the grand prize.
The best solo artist and the best band each
stand to win R10,000, as well as an opportunity to perform future gigs at the
mall.
This Saturday will see six bands ranging
from acoustic, folk, rock, pop, reggae, classical, alternative, Afro and jazz.
On the line-up to battle it out are local bands, Kimberly & Dwayne, 4
Digits, Brown Jam, Genetics, The Kristen Koning Band and Many Moore.
Last week, the judges had a tough decision
to make as they placed three soloists in the top two, allowing all three to go
through to the next round.
