(Carol Brown)
Curate.A.Space has been running professional practice workshops for the
past seven years. These have been attended by hundreds of participants from
universities, community arts centres, South African Museums Association
members, individuals, art and book groups and professional artists.
They have taken place in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Zululand,
Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town, and KZN Midlands. The course has been popular over
the years with new materials constantly being developed in order to keep in
line with current trends in exhibiting and marketing art. The course can be
tailored to specific groups and is generally held on a three to five day
period.
The next workshop will be: Durban Exhibition Making Workshop 2019
Carol Brown, Director of Curate.A.Space will guide clients through the
steps of displaying their art and curating an exhibition in a professional
manner. The workshop is hands-on and will cover various topics including ways
to display artwork, how to think out of the box, current themes and design
elements. Brown will be discussing new trends of exhibiting as seen at this
year’s FNB Art Joburg.
This course will take place over three Thursday mornings between
September and October 2019 as follows:
Venue: Curate.A.Space Studio, Musgrave, Durban
