KZN Zulu Zen potter Andrew Walford and
jeweller Eicke Schmidt will be hosting a joint exhibition in Johannesburg from
November 15 to 17, 2019.
In 1991 Wilma Cruise wrote “Walford’s work
bears the stamp of the master craftsman, the experienced ceramicist who
believes that the creation of a ceramic work involves the very soul of the
artist “.
Eicke Schmidt sees her jewellery as small
sculptural objects, which adorn and embellish a person and express individualism:
“I prefer combining objects and items that have a historical and/or ethnic
background. This means that all the pieces created are individual and unique.”
Jewellery Pop-Up is in 17 Griswold Avenue
(off Oxford Road), Saxonwold, Johannesburg, and will be open from 10h00 to
17h00.
