Well-known award-winning KZN poet Gcina
Mhlophe’s birthday falls on October 24, which is also declared National
Storytelling Day .
She has announced that she will be
celebrating at the Bluff Showgrounds on that day under the Storytelling Tree, a
project that begins nationwide.
This will be a daytime event starting at
11h00. There will be a media presence and sister organisations as well as storytellers
from other parts of South Africa.
Schools, libraries, community centres and
work places are invited to attend.
