(Clare
Mortimer & Steven Stead)
KickstArt is delighted to present a brand
new, glamorous, stylish production of Noël Coward’s classic romantic comedy Private Lives!
In case you are not familiar with the play,
we shall set the scene for you: Amanda and Elyot used to be married. Now they
are divorced. And starting life again with newer, younger, nicer spouses. They
both decide to go to France for their honeymoons. To a lovely hotel in Nice.
Unfortunately, they choose the same lovely
hotel in Nice … In adjacent suites with adjoining balconies … The moon is full,
the air is balmy, and the sweet night air is full of music … What could
possibly go wrong?
This wicked, stylish and sparkling comedy
of very bad manners will delight adult audiences with its witty repartee,
hilarious situations and outrageous characters. Celebrated fashionista Terrence
Bray designs the breath-taking 1930’s style costumes, and Greg King creates the
lavish hotels and Parisian apartments in which the hilarious action takes
place.
There are only 12 performances between October
24 and November 3 at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, so book early to avoid
disappointment.
The play stars multi award-winning actors
Clare Mortimer and Steven Stead, with the excellent support of Jessica Sole,
Iain Robinson and Belinda Henwood.
It is directed by Steven Stead and Mervyn
McMurtry.
Performances Tuesday to Saturday at 19h30
(matinees on Saturday at 14h30) and Sundays at 16h00. Book at Computicket:
