BURNS NIGHT AT RHUMBELOW

(Mim Erasmus & Frank Graham)

Burns Night - and all things Scottish offers a Burns supper as a celebration of the life, music and poetry of the Bard of Scotland, Robert Burns, the author of many Scottish poem, songs and stories. The show will feature Mim Erasmus and Frank Graham with The Durban Regiment Pipe Band and will take place at Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof from January 24 to 26.

The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, January 25, occasionally known as Robert Burns Day (or Robbie Burns Day or Rabbie Burns Day) but more commonly known as Burns Night (Scots: Burns Nicht).

Mim Erasmus, Durban’s very own Minstrel, and Frank Graham, raconteur and storyteller de luxe need no introduction, and audiences are guaranteed a night of fabulous music and rib-hugging hilarity.

We all know Burns songs like Ye banks and braes and My love is like a red, red rose and Erasmus will sing these and others audiences can sing with. Graham will regale everyone with other stories, Burns poems and tall tales to complete the evening’s entertainment.

Pipers, piping hot haggis and a few good whiskies guarantee an evening to remember.

Performances take place on January 24 and 25 at 20h00 and on January 26 at 14h00. (Venue opens 90 minutes before show for drinks)
