(Shelley McLean Downham)
Singer, pianist and musical director Shelley McLean Downham’s production Life is a Stage can be seen on the Virtual National Arts Festival.
A musical journey. A musical feast from the music of Carole King to Lauren Daigle, this musical melting pot is sure to have “something for everyone”. The performer’s stage career has seen her singing and playing piano and drums for audiences across the country, on cruise liners and internationally.
Her theatre credits include countless kickstArt productions, KZN Playhouse Theatre, music revues at The Hilton Arts Festival, featured singer with the KZNPO, Platform Jazz and KZN Big Band. Her passion for the stage is matched only by her passion for teaching and nurturing young talent and she has laid the foundation for several young performing stars.
“One of my bucket list items is to perform at the National Arts Festival and this year, I get to virtually tick it off,” says McLean Downham.
“Life Is A Stage is an intimate musical offering, featuring music from each ‘Stage’ in my life so far and I would be so thrilled if you would consider buying a virtual ticket and supporting my first performance at this incredible festival.”
