The Durban Actors Studio has announced the following upcoming workshops which are now OPEN for registration!

If you want to explore the world of on-camera acting and presenting, this is for you!

Please note that payment for all workshops must be made via EFT before the workshop date per registration.

More information on the workshops as follows:

Intro To On-Camera Acting

In this workshop, we will cover:

-Similarities and Differences between stage and screen

-The Intellectual Actor

-Showing and Sharing, or Stop Thinking and Start Feeling

-Voice for Camera

-Facial Expressions

-Maintaining Emotional Commitment

This workshop will be an introduction, with the opportunity for Q&A. Due to the interactive nature of the workshop, attendees are limited to 20 participants.

TV Presenting

In this workshop, we will cover:

-Acting vs Presenting

-Presenting Styles – Formal and Informal

-How do I look? - wardrobe, makeup and appearance

-Engaging the camera – draw your audience

-Interviewing Basics

This workshop will be an introduction, with the opportunity for Q&A. Due to the interactive nature of the workshop, attendees are limited to 20 participants.

Private Coaching

Private lessons are available via Zoom or Google Meets.

Private 1-on-1 Coaching for Actors - Weekly

(Beginner to Intermediate)

- R230 per 45min session – if you are working on your own material and want feedback / audition preparation

- R1150 for 6 sessions (save R150!) - if you would like us to provide a script and guide you through preparing and performing your monologue.
