i GRANDI TENORI CHRISTMAS MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA

(Mlindi Pato & Kananelo Sehau)

In collaboration with Friends of Music I Grandi Tenori will present their 4th Christmas Music Extravaganza featuring The I Grandi Tenors, Mlindi Pato and Kananelo Sehau  accompanied on piano by Sanele Mkhize.

The popular South African operatic team known as i Grandi Tenori (The Grand Tenors) was founded in 2011 and specialises in classical and operatic music. The team is not only dedicated to offering world-class performances but also aims to develop and mentor young people from rural schools so that they may forge careers in the performance industry.

They will perform a selection of favourite opera arias as well as sing-along Christmas carols. The programme will include the likes of The Lord’s Prayer, Oh Come Oh Come Emanuel, Silent Night, Hark The Herald and Joy To The World.

The Christmas Music Extravaganza takes place on December 20 at 14h00 at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road in Durban.

Tickets R100 (R20 children and students with cards).

Pre-booking is required due to Covid requirements. Contact friendsofmusic@webmail.co.za or phone Kwazi on 073 193 8032 or Keith on 071 505 1012. Payment may be made at the door. Only 200 tickets are available.

With picnic set-up style, attendees are welcome to bring their picnic baskets to enjoy lunch with family and friends. However, only alcohol bought at the on-site cash bar will be permitted inside the hall.
