The 20th ASSITEJ World Congress & International Performing Arts Festival for Children and Young People / MIRAI 2020 from March 22 to April 1.
ASSITEJ unites theatres, organisations and individuals throughout the world who make theatre for children and young people. ASSITEJ brings people together so that they can share knowledge and practice within the field of theatre for children and young people in order to deepen understandings, develop practice, create new opportunities and strengthen the global sector. The members of ASSITEJ come from more than 100 countries.
Buying a ticket to the World Congress gives you full access to all theatre pieces, workshops, symposia, discussions, social events and networking opportunities with artists from across the world, allowing for all to participate in elements of interest to them.
Productions will not only take place ‘On the Ground’ in Japan, but will also be shared virtually through the ‘Online’ festival, supported by the South African National Arts Festival’s online platform, which will feature the main programme, a fringe programme and an innovation programme. Each day will see three to four sessions in different time zones. And if you are unable to catch the event at the original times, you are able to watch recordings of all programming until April 11, 2021, at your leisure.
The General Assembly which is the meeting of the organisation will be shared through videos and written reportage ahead of a series of scheduled discussion meetings which will occur live on ZOOM.
Feel free to find out more on the ASSITEJ website: ASSITEJ World Congress for information about the event, and https://assitejonline.org/ for the festival itself.
