HA!MAN & ANT CAWTHORN-BLAZEBY

“Listen with your heart to the silences, and hear the music come forth in spaces between sounds.”

The popular Musgrave venue St Clements is hosting the return of the standing improvisation duo between Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby on violin and Francois the HA! Man on cello and keyboard.

They first played together at the Grahamstown Festival in 1991, creating a connection that has continued to this day. Fast-forwarding 15 years, they re-connected in Durban together in 2006, and have been collaborating at least once or twice a year since then, mostly at St Clements, given that they have limited opportunity to perform in a dedicated concert together. This will be their first performance since 2019, as opportunity to perform has been even more limited.

Ant and Francois' early evening performance promises to be a treat for lovers of spontaneous, quirky and innovative music!!

Booking essential as numbers are limited - contact 031 202 2511.

The performance will take place on March 6 at 18h30 for 19h00. St Clements is situated at 191 Musgrave Road in Durban.
