It ain’t the JOMBA! Festival yet but it is the JOMBA! Colloquium
The Jomba! Contemporary Dance Experience hosts an online colloquium supported by the NIHSS next week at the Centre for Creative Arts.
Coming up next week (June 2 -4), the CCA launches its three-day dance colloquium/conference - JOMBA! Mashambisane Dialogues to support focused South African and African (and Diaspora) dance and performance scholarship in an accessible and community-driven manner.

Clare Craighead, a lecturer in the Drama and Production Studies Department at the Durban University of Technology, is on the #jombadialogues curatorial team. She has an MA, summa cum laude, from @ukzn, and is currently registered for her PhD in Drama and Performance Studies, there. She is company manager to Durban’s @flatfootdanceco and facilitates the JOMBA! Khuluma writing residency as part of the JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience. She also recently joined the Co|lab collective a UAE-Based performing arts company with strong links to its South African roots, there are already plans in motion for JOMBA! Khuluma to make its Dubai debut in 2021.
