The guests at Friends of Music’s next concert on September 19, 2021, will be feature The Midlands Trio with Maggie Deppe (oboe), Charl van der Merwe (bassoon) and Ilse Myburgh (piano).

The concert will feature a carefully-chosen eclectic and varied programme and will include two French trios especially composed for oboe, piano and bassoon. One by the prolific composer and pianist, Francis Poulenc and the other by 19th Century early Romantic oboist and composer, Henri Brod.

The Prelude Performers at this concert will be Durban’s incredibly talented siblings – Amy and Aiden Luo.

The concert will take place on September 19 at 15h00 at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga Road, Durban.
