Due to the recent adjustment of Covid-19 regulations to level 1, Baroque 2000 will swing back into action at the Church of the Mariannhill Monastery on October 10 at 11h30 with a sparkling programme of musical chivalry between bows, strings, drums and swords!
The programme will consist of Heinrich Biber’s Battalia a 10”, Johann Heinrich Schmelzer’s “The Fencing School”, Jean-Philippe Rameau’s “Danse pour les Sauvages” from his “Indes GalantesI” and Luigi Boccherini’s “Fandango”.
Ralitsa Pechoux will be the soloist of the concerto for Cello in D minor RV406 by Antonio Vivaldi and the ensemble will perform the charming Concerto Grosso Op6 No4 in D major by Arcangelo Corelli.
The concert is titled Battle of the Bows, Strings & Swords and takes place on October 10, 2021, at 11h30 at the Church of the Mariannhill Monastery

Monastery Tea Garden will be open for refreshments and light meals. There is
ample and safe parking available. Covid-19 sanitary regulations will apply.
