On Sunday March 27, 2022, Baroque 2000 will be back at the Church of the Mariannhill Monastery at 11h30 for the 2022 Season Opening concert.
Some of the majestic works of the baroque period will be performed: Handel’s Water Music, featuring oboes, French horns and trumpets as well as Bach’s Orchestral Suite No1 in C Major and Handel’s Concerto Grosso Op 3 No 2 in B flat major.
The Overture to Charpentier’s Te Deum will open the concert with a roaring introduction by the timpani.
You can now become a subscriber to the Season of 8 concerts and pay for 7. Sunday’s tickets will be sold at the door at R170.
There is ample, free and safe parking and the Tea Garden will be open for refreshments and light meals.
