A few weeks ago, the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery featured some Gelli paintings by Sandi Beukes and mentioned that she loves experimenting with different techniques.
Here is one of her Hilltop series which Sandi describes as “my simple landscapes”. Whilst not simple in effort or time, they are simple in the use of a limited palette and subject matter.
She starts off the paintings with no preconceived ideas, yet they come together with each brush stroke, and with the use of a large sized brush, texture and mood evolve.
The paintings are framed in simple white mounts and white box frames and as this week's Featured Artworks, qualify for 10% off.
