This past weekend, the weather was just right for 67 Blankets Durban rainbow blankets handover at the Botanic Gardens.
“So many beautiful, colourful blankets were handed in, and it was lovely to meet new friends and connect with people we might not have seen for quite some time.
"Thanks to everyone for your beautiful, colourful blankets that are going to keep those in dire need warmer this winter. And thanks for coming to the Gardens for some much-needed natter,” says one of the KZN 67 Blankets ambassador, Franki Hills.
“Towards the end of this month, the legendary #stuttafordsvanlines will be busily driving their iconic green trucks from towns all around South Africa to #67Blankets headquarters in Gauteng.
“Then, on May 11, all the blankets made with love by KnitWits around South Africa (and even in other countries) will be displayed in what is bound to be an enormous explosion of colour at Steyn City School.
“After the festivities, 67 Blankets will entrust these lovingly-made beauties to the one and only #GiftoftheGivers to give to people in dire need and in catastrophic circumstances.”
The big event on May 11 will include VIP guests and performances from well-known artists, as well as a tribute to the brave frontline workers, including #doctorswithoutborders #MSF
