20h00: What We Are

Midlands-based band, What We Are, brings you a boasting blend of sassy soul, roots rhythm, acoustic melodies with a bright streak of lyrical activism. Their first appearance on stage together was in northern Botswana in mid-2013, and they have since performed extensively in Southern Africa, and at a handful of venues in Northern Europe.

Creating songs that reflect the current times, What We Are believe in the potency of musical medicine, allowing their audience to revisit what makes music so powerful: emotion, passion and its ability to unite the people. They will be joined at MiTH by Quinton Song on bass.

21h00: Seb Goldswain

Seb is a fingerstyle virtuoso, composer, and performer from Durban, South Africa. He has a degree in jazz and popular music, and is known for his intricate and energetic style of playing, often leading listeners to believe there must be multiple guitars weaving the rich sonic tapestries they are hearing.

Goldswain’s inspirational live shows are a must-see, and have led him to open for international pop-star George Ezra, and many of South Africa’s great artists, including Chris Chameleon, Sipho Hotstix Mabuse, Arno Carstens, Ard Matthews, and Dan Patlansky. His playing has led him to be recognised as a brand ambassador for bespoke instrument companies, including Guitar Gallery and AER Amplifiers.
