KwaMashu School of Dance Theatre which is located at the KwaMashu Steel Gym announces the enrolment of students for Dance of Joy Saturday, Classes and After School Classes

Specialty: Creative Movement, Ballet, Hip Hop, Street Dance, African Contemporary, Jazz, Rhythm and Body Percussion and Performance

Next intake: February, 4, 2023

Duration of the Programme: Certificate (11 months)

Dancers Learning options: inhouse training programme/ outreach learning with In School sessions in and around Durban

At KMSDT, our programmes are designed to provide dancers with an in-depth education on Contemporary Dance techniques by blending both, inhouse training and lecture demonstration learning opportunities that can be accessed anywhere around the Durban area,” says acclaimed choreographer, Vusi Makhanya, who runs KMSDT.

 “We believe in taking dance to community, which is why each programme provides every young people with an opportunity to perform in our professional stage."


Stage: 1 February 6,8 and 10

Stage 2: February 20, 22 and 24


What times are the auditions?

-Audition is from 09h00 to 14h00. Registration from 08h30.


What are the requirements?

-Please bring your ID Copy and your CV


What is the dress code for the auditions?

-Please wear comfortable pants, T-shirt or anything that’s comfortable to dance in.
