HAVE YOU SEEN ZANDILE?

 


Durban Girls’ College (by arrangement with DALRO) is thrilled to be performing the heart-warming and engaging coming-of-age play Have you seen Zandile? Written by the highly respected and talented South African playwright and storyteller Gcina Mhlophe, this play has travelled the world playing to audiences at the Edinburgh Festival, Switzerland, London, and parts of the USA.

Directed by Wendy Watson, with set design by award-winning Greg King, and lighting and sound by Megan Holder, together with a talented and energetic cast, the play promises to be a fresh and vibrant production that will live on in the hearts of those who see it.

Watson says: “I am SO proud of these amazing students who are working with such incredible passion, commitment and dedication to bring a beautiful theatrical experience to all who see it. You need to feel the magic! See you there!”

Performances are from March 6 to 9, 2023, in the Lecture Theatre at Durban Girls’ College starting at 18h00. There will also be two school performances on the March 7 and 9 at 10h30.

Suitable for 12 years and above.

Block bookings are R60 a ticket. Tickets R60 for scholars and R80 for adults and can be booked via Quicket.

Durban Girls’ College is situated at 586 Musgrave Road, Essenwood, Berea in Durban.
