The KZN Youth Orchestra will be performing
in the Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre on Mothers’ Day, May 14, at 11h00 and 13h00.
The orchestra comprises 70 young musicians from all around KZN province.
The hour-long concert will be an exciting one with music encompassing a variety of genres. There will be pieces from the Romantic period, movies and musicals and is excellent family entertainment.
Included in the programme are such pieces as Arabian nights, Pirates of the Caribbean, jazz and rock items including As it was and the ever popular Sway, to name a few.
Conducted by Lyk Temmingh and presented by Cathy Peacock, the picnic concert will send audiences away with a tune in their hearts.
Treat your mums, enjoy Durban’s good weather, bring a picnic and come and support the youngsters and be enthralled by their orchestral delights.
