KZNSA EXHIBITION OPENING: SCENORAMA

 


After 10 months of growing and changing at the JavettUP, SCENORAMA is traveling to eThekwini where works will be presented in their ‘complete’ form, from May 5 to June 4, 2023, at the KZNSA Gallery in Glenwood.

This is a collaborative platform initiated for artistic research and experimentation, allowing a ground for shared networks of experiences in Africa and the Diaspora. The exhibition is accompanied by extensive public programming, including a walkabout with the curatorial team on Saturday, May 6 at 12h00.

Further activations include a free critical writing workshop - details will be published in the coming days.

eThekwini-based artist Nindya Bucktowar has been invited to join SCENORAMA for this iteration of the project, alongside:

This project is made possible through the assistance, partnerships and collaborations with the Frequencies Institute and Oscar Murillo Studio, Stevenson Gallery, Insite/ Commonplaces, First Floor Gallery, the National Arts Council, Goethe Institut, Sao Paulo/Johannesburg and Village Unhu.

SCENORAMA is curated by Javett-UP Curatorial Director Gabi Ngcobo assisted by Gillian Fleischmann and the Javett-UP Curatorial team.
