Pieter Scholtz and friends invite you to come revel in an evening of entertainment, laughter and memories with voice artist, actor, comedian and raconteur Frank Graham.

Frank Graham and The Late Days of Springbok Radio will take place on September 4, 2023, at 18h00.

Frank Graham has been in the entertainment world for many years, making a name for himself as an actor in all media (radio, stage, film and television), as a master of ceremonies, a comedian, a raconteur and as a voice artist.

His stage involvement includes many and diverse productions for the Playhouse Company as well as the late Themi Venturas Productions. To note his versatility, he received a Vita Award in 1994 for his portrayal of Polonius in the Playhouse's highly acclaimed production of Hamlet.

He has been nominated for Best Solo Performance in his sell-out show The Golden Days of Springbok Radio — and it is a version of this that he will be sharing with St Clements audiences.

Graham’s radio career spanned some 25 years with his participation in countless plays, serials and series particularly the Tom Meehan stable of comedies such as The Men from the Ministry, Father Dear Father, The Navy Lark and Friends and Neighbours. In this St Clements gig, he will highlight the late days of Springbok Radio with a focus on its broad canvas of serials, plays and game shows and with a special emphasis on comedies that came out of Durban. He has done a similar show at the Rhumbelow Theatre so you’ll be in good company.

When the donation box is passed around, patrons are encouraged to be generous. A minimum of R50 per person.

The show plans to be outdoors. If it’s chilly, remember to dress warm. If it rains, the venue will need to set up indoors.
