Brilliant Mthethwa of Maqadi Art and Entertainments will
present The Baby is Crying on September 23,
2023, at 13h30 and 18h30 at the Courtyard Theatre of the Durban University
of Technology (DUT).
To honour comrades who lost their lives in exile, they create this beautiful theatre play, just to say, rest in peace comrade Nokuthula Simelane, comrade Ben Langa, comrade Keith Mcfedden and all other comrades who dedicated their lives to the struggle.
The Baby is Crying is here for you to learn and question things. Words of gratitude goes to all theatre practitioners who contributed toward growing this production: Dr Mbongeni Ngema, Bongani Mbatha, the Playhouse Theatre and Bhekani Shabalala.
The play is written by Brilliant Mthethwa, directed by Wandile Wandile and Arthur Nodliwa and performed by Vuma Pina Nzolo, Vumile Pina and Mboneleli Mdleleni. It is staged by Anelisiwe Mkosana.
The Baby is Crying has two performances on September 23, 2023, at 13h30 and 18h30. Tickets at the door.
