Raymond Perrier, Director of the Denis Hurley Centre announces free dance events at the Centre.

He says: “The award-winning choreographer Musa Hlatshwayo has for many years been associated with the Denis Hurley Centre and has often performed for us and created works in our building.

“Udodana is a very personal work that explores his own relationship with his late father and also the journey that [black] men make from boyhood to manhood.  The title refers to the 'sons of the congregation' who are in the frontline of the battle against evil.

“We hope that has intrigued you to come and see the work yourself for free at the DHC.  There is one more opportunity to join others in viewing the dance: “

November 16 at 13h30 - a full length performance followed by discussion also including the DHC staff and volunteers.

Perrier continues: “This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the most interesting artistic work being created in Durban today.”

Safe paid parking behind the Cathedral.  No need to book - just turn up.  All are welcome.
